Jane the Virgin, an American fictional romantic television series directed by Jennie Snyder Urman. The television series got premiered on The CW television network on 13th October 2014. The series concluded accomplishing five seasons over 100 episodes on 31st July 2019.
The television drama Jane the Virgin is a loose variation of Venezuelan limited-run television drama named Juana la Virgen of Perla Farias.

The series revolves around a religious young American-Venezuelan lady Jane Gloriana Villanueva. The series portrayed the dramatic, surprising and comedic events that happened in the life of Jane. The young lady vowed to maintain and protect her virginity until she marries. But one day, she got artificially inseminated by her doctor mistakenly. The matter becomes even more complicated when the biological father was the teenage crush and the new owner of the hotel where Jane works and also the cancer survivor playboy.
The series has a total of five seasons with overall 100 episodes. The initial episodes of the series portrayed the survival of pregnant Jane. She faced many problems abut her profession and also to choose between the father and her official boyfriend.
As the series progresses, when her child grows she moves ahead in her career life facing her family’s independent plotlines.
Jane the Virgin television series got nominated at 72nd Golden Globe Awards for Best Television series and also in Peabody Award as one of the top 10 Television Programs of 2014.
In 2014 it was awarded by American Film Institute Award, in 2015 by People’s Choice Award, Imagen Award, Gold Derby Award, EWwy Award. In 2018 won Alma Award and Teen Choice Award in 2019.
The television got also nominated for many awards, even, the cast and characters were nominated for their performance and won awards.
The show has showcased Hollywood an amazing Latino experience. The telenovela format of the series has opted about faith, family, work, and other social issues like fears of undocumented immigrants, mixed-status families, traditions, entertainment and above all love.
The show has not only took me through the family journey from my childhood to adulthood but also shown Latino culture as a part of who we are in Hollywood and other countries, also we can also celebrate it. The only show I loved the most for its storyline and embracing the Latino culture in the best and beautiful way.
