In the recovery time following the battle, we learn that Sarah has been receiving encrypted messages since that fateful day on the beach twenty-two years ago detailing the arrival of the Terminators. Grace informs Sarah that, in her timeline, an AI called Legion has taken over servers across the world and threatens to destroy humanity with nuclear weapons. This launches the three on an intense journey to save the world from these time-traveling killing machines.
